Halal standards & assurance

The Malaysian halal assurance framework is broad — standards, manuals, protocols and destination-market requirements working together. Explore it by topic and operating stage.

One framework, many instruments

MS 1500 is the best-known Malaysian halal standard, but it is one instrument in a wider system: the MS 2400 supply-chain series, halal management system documentation expectations, JAKIM certification manuals and procedures, laboratory protocols, circulars and official instructions, and the import requirements of destination markets.

Our standards explorer maps these instruments to the operating stages where they apply, so participants can see which governance controls attach to which activity.

Using the explorer

Select a topic to see its summary and the journey stages it touches. The explorer is an orientation tool: it indicates relevance, not authority. Formal application always follows the authoritative source.

Standard titles, editions and applicability must be confirmed against authoritative references before formal reliance. GHSCL does not publish official standard text, and certification decisions rest with the competent authorities.

Accuracy commitments

  • Official standard text is never invented or paraphrased into existence.
  • Titles, editions and applicability are confirmed against authoritative references before formal reliance.
  • Certification outcomes belong to competent authorities and recognised certification bodies — never to this website.
  • Site visitors cannot obtain a JAKIM certificate through this website; the explorer explains the landscape, not a shortcut.
